Acceptable Use Policy

1. What Tildi is
Tildi is a language-learning app for families. Parents scan the picture books they already own, and Tildi turns the vocabulary and phrases in those books into structured lessons, vocabulary tests and short guided practice exercises.
Tildi is not a general-purpose chatbot, an AI companion, or an image generator. All AI use is confined to producing language-learning exercises and guided practice with a fixed learning goal, from vocabulary the learner has already collected.
2. How AI is used
- AI generates lesson questions, translations, hints and short guided practice exchanges scoped to the learner's own vocabulary.
- There is no open-ended, free-form conversation partner or persona.
- There is no AI image generation and no synthetic likenesses of people.
- Outputs may occasionally contain errors. Tildi is a learning aid, not a substitute for professional teaching, translation, medical, legal or financial advice, and should not be relied on for those purposes.
3. Prohibited use
You must not use Tildi to:
- break the law, or facilitate fraud, spam or abuse;
- upload, generate or attempt to generate content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, or harmful to children;
- upload material you do not have the right to use, or attempt to reproduce a copyrighted book in full rather than using short extracts for language study;
- attempt to make the app produce output outside language learning, including jailbreaking, prompt injection, or bypassing safety filters;
- create deepfakes, impersonate a real person, or produce misleading content;
- probe, scan, scrape, or interfere with the security or integrity of the service, or introduce malware;
- resell, sublicense or redistribute the service or its outputs.
4. Your content and rights
You are responsible for the pages you scan and the text you enter, including having the rights to use them. Scans are used solely to generate your own private lessons; they are not published, shared with other users, or used to create a public library.
If you believe content on Tildi infringes your rights, email tildiapp@gmail.com identifying the material and your rights in it. We will investigate, remove infringing material where appropriate, and may suspend or terminate accounts of repeat infringers.
5. Moderation
We may filter or refuse outputs, remove or restrict content, and suspend or terminate accounts that breach this policy, present a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly misuse the service.
6. Child safety
- Accounts are created and paid for by an adult. Children use the app alongside a parent or carer, under that adult's account.
- There is no public profile, no user-to-user messaging, and no way for a child to contact another user.
- Nothing a family creates in Tildi is published or visible to other users.
- Progress sharing is opt-in and produces a simple stats page with no personal contact details.
