The Reason After the Pause in German

This C2 unit explores how spoken German can use a reason to explain a conclusion or justify saying something, rather than identify what caused an event. With your older child, listen for conversational weil followed by a pause and main-clause word order, then compare it with standard written alternatives. The aim is receptive awareness: understand the speaker’s reasoning without assuming that every German speaker uses this pattern.
