Spanish phrases for a walk in the park
Vamos a dar un paseo.
Let's go for a walk.
'Paseo' refers to a leisurely walk or stroll.
Mira el árbol.
Look at the tree.
'Mira' is the informal command form of 'mirar' (to look).
Veo un pájaro.
I see a bird.
'Veo' comes from the verb 'ver' (to see).
Las hojas se caen.
The leaves are falling.
Literally: 'The leaves fall themselves'.
Recoge un palo.
Pick up a stick.
'Recoge' is the command form of 'recoger' (to pick up/collect).
Escucha a los patos.
Listen to the ducks.
We use the 'personal a' before animals when they are specific objects of our attention.
¡No pises el charco!
Don't step in the puddle!
'No pises' is the negative command form of 'pisar' (to step on).
Qué flor tan bonita.
What a lovely flower.
Use 'Qué + [noun] + tan + [adjective]' for exclamations.

Observing with 'Veo' and 'Hay'
In Spanish, we use 'Veo' to say 'I see' and 'Hay' to say 'There is' or 'There are'. Note that 'Hay' never changes, even if the object is plural.
