Spanish phrases for a2 first milestone

  • Hemos caminado a casa y has desempacado tu mochila.

    We have walked home, and you have unpacked your school bag.

    Uses 'haber' + past participle for recent actions.

  • Tu lápiz es más largo que el mío.

    Your pencil is longer than mine.

    'Más... que' is the standard way to compare two things.

  • Por favor, dale a tu hermana su libro de lectura.

    Please give your sister her reading book.

    'Dale' includes the indirect object pronoun 'le' for the recipient.

  • Nos estamos cambiando porque el fútbol empieza pronto.

    We are getting changed because football starts soon.

    'Cambiarse' is reflexive; 'porque' explains the reason.
