Spanish phrases for ask, answer, make your point
¿Qué hace que tu propuesta sea convincente? Reconoce la objeción más fuerte en lugar de fingir que no existe.
What makes your proposal convincing? It acknowledges the strongest objection instead of pretending there isn't one.
Note the use of 'qué hace que' + subjunctive (sea) for rhetorical effect.
¿Qué falta en el plan del proyecto? Un margen realista para los imprevistos.
What is missing from the project plan? A realistic allowance for things going wrong.
This is an example of an elliptical answer, common in professional rhetoric.
¿Por qué propongo un periodo de prueba para el nuevo acuerdo sobre el tiempo de pantalla? Porque necesitamos pruebas de lo que realmente funciona para ti.
Why am I suggesting a trial period for the new screen-time agreement? Because we need evidence about what actually works for you.
Using 'porque' to start the answer is natural when explaining reasoning.

What matters more here: winning the argument or repairing the friendship? Repairing the friendship, without abandoning your point.
A binary question used to force a choice and clarify priorities.

What could your opening offer the audience? One surprising fact and a reason to care.
The conditional 'podría' softens the suggestion, making it constructive.
¿Significa una mayor independencia no pedir nunca ayuda? No; significa reconocer cuándo la ayuda sería útil y elegir cómo buscarla.
Does greater independence mean never asking for help? No; it means recognising when help would be useful and choosing how to seek it.
Using 'significa' (means) helps define concepts during a debate.

Why answer your own question in this paragraph? To give the reader a clear route through a complicated argument.
Starting with 'para' (to/for) effectively states the purpose.

What would I change about our conversation? I'd make it clearer when I'm developing my own point and when I genuinely want your answer.

Hypophora (Hipófora)
Hypophora involves posing a question and then immediately providing the answer. In Spanish, this helps maintain the listener's attention and controls the flow of information.

Interrogative Pronouns with Accents
Remember that in Spanish, all interrogative words (Qué, Por qué, Cómo, etc.) must carry a written accent when used in a question, even if it is a self-answered one.
