More Than a Little Label explores how German speakers can quote an unhelpful label without accepting it, then replace it with a kinder description of a child's needs. You will practise affectionate language for cries, spills and wakefulness, using quotation marks, spoken quotation cues and sogenannt. These C2-level reflections are mainly for your own language practice and conversations with adults; with a baby or toddler, keep your voice warm and pair them with short, reassuring phrases.
