Spanish phrases for arts and crafts

  • Vamos a pintar un dibujo.

    Let's paint a picture.

    'Dibujo' can mean both a drawing and a picture in this context.

  • ¿Qué color necesitas?

    Which colour do you need?

    'Qué' is used here to ask 'which' from a group.

  • Dibuja un sol.

    Draw a sun.

    'Dibuja' is the informal command form of 'dibujar'.

  • Corta con cuidado.

    Cut carefully.

    'Con cuidado' literally means 'with care'.

  • Aquí está el pegamento.

    Here is the glue.

    Use 'aquí está' when pointing to an object nearby.

  • ¡Qué dibujo más bonito!

    What a beautiful picture!

    Adding 'más' or 'tan' before the adjective adds emphasis.
