Past Participles as Adjectives (El Participio con función adjetival)

In formal Spanish correspondence, past participles (words ending in -ado/-ido) are frequently used as adjectives to modify nouns. Unlike English which can sometimes use 'being', Spanish places the participle directly after the noun. Crucially, the participle must agree in gender and number with the noun it modifies.
