    I check my list to avoid forgetting anything.

    'Bolsillo' is the standard word for pocket.

  • Lleno mi botella para tener suficiente agua.

    I fill my bottle to have enough water.

    'Llenar' means to fill.

    'Horario' refers to a schedule or timetable.

  • Pongo mis gafas en el estuche para protegerlas.

    I put my glasses in their case to protect them.

    The pronoun 'las' (them) is attached directly to the infinitive 'proteger'.

  • Preparo la mochila esta noche para ahorrar tiempo por la mañana.

    I pack tonight to save time in the morning.

    'Ahorrar' means to save, used for time, money, or energy.

  • Marco cada casilla para recordar qué está listo.

    I tick each box to remember what is ready.

    'Casilla' refers to the checkbox on a list.

Purpose Clauses with 'Para + Infinitive'

In Spanish, when the subject of the main action and the purpose of that action are the same, we use 'para' followed by the infinitive form of the verb. This is simpler than using 'para que' (which requires the subjunctive).
