One itemLocation + ist + singular nounIn deiner Tasche ist ein Buch.
Several itemsLocation + sind + plural nounHier sind zwei Bleistifte.
Word orderThe whole location phrase comes first; the verb comes next.In deinem Federmäppchen sind Wachsmalstifte.

Es gibt: there is / there are

Es gibt says that something exists or is available. It works with both singular and plural nouns and takes the accusative case. For a masculine noun, ein becomes einen.

UseFormExample

PluralEs gibt + number + plural nounEs gibt drei Äpfel für deinen Snack.
