Spanish phrases for a2 halfway chest
Tu libro de lectura está debajo de la silla.
Your reading book is under the chair.
'Debajo de' is the fixed phrase for 'under'.
Llevas un mes en el club de natación.
You have been in the swimming club for a month.
'Llevar' + time is a natural way to express how long someone has been doing something.
Perdiste tu lápiz hace dos días. Puedes usar el mío.
You lost your pencil two days ago. You can use mine.
'Hace' expresses 'ago'. 'El mío' is the possessive pronoun for 'mine'.
Tu mochila es tan pesada como la mía.
Your school bag is just as heavy as mine.
'Tan + adjective + como' is used for equality comparisons.

'A tu lado' means 'next to you' or 'by your side'.
