Together Or Without in Spanish

Spanish phrases for together or without
¿Vas caminando a la escuela conmigo?
Are you walking to school with me?
'Conmigo' is a special one-word form for 'with me'.
Voy al fútbol contigo.
I am coming to football with you.
'Contigo' is the special form for 'with you' (informal).
Puedes jugar con él después de la escuela.
You can play with him after school.
'Con él' follows the standard pattern for most pronouns.
Vamos a la biblioteca con ella.
We are going to the library with her.
Use 'con ella' for 'with her'.
Por favor, no te vayas sin tu mochila.
Please do not leave without your school bag.
'Sin' means without and is followed by the object.
Puedes comer tu almuerzo sin una cuchara.
You can eat your lunch without a spoon.
Articles (un, una) remain standard after 'sin'.
Tu amigo no puede empezar el juego sin ti.
Your friend cannot start the game without you.
Note that 'ti' (you) is used after 'sin', not 'tú'.
¿Puedes preparar tu lonchera sin mí?
Can you pack your lunchbox without me?
Note that 'mí' (me) is used after 'sin', not 'yo'.

Special Forms with 'Con'
In Spanish, the preposition 'con' merges with 'me' and 'you' to create unique words. For other people, we just use 'con' + the pronoun.

Pronouns with 'Sin'
Unlike 'con', the word 'sin' does not merge. However, we must use the prepositional pronouns 'mí' and 'ti' instead of 'yo' and 'tú'.
