Spanish phrases for lending toys to a friend
¿Me puedes dar el tractor?
Can you give me the tractor?
'Me' is the pronoun for 'to me'.
Te presto mi tren pequeño.
I am lending you my little train.
'Te' means 'to you' (informal).
¿Le damos esta pelota al bebé?
Shall we give the baby this ball?
'Le' refers to the baby (the recipient).
Por favor, enséñale los botones a tu amigo.
Please show your friend the buttons.
'Enséñale' combines the command 'enseña' with the pronoun 'le'.
Le doy el camión amarillo.
I am giving her the yellow truck.
'Le' is used for both 'him' and 'her' in Spanish.
¿Le puedes prestar tu dinosaurio?
Can you lend him your dinosaur?
The pronoun 'le' comes before the helping verb 'puedes'.
Por favor, devuélveme la muñeca.
Please give the doll back to me.
'Devolver' means to return something or give it back.
Tu amigo nos está enseñando su robot.
Your friend is showing us his robot.
'Nos' means 'to us'.
