Spanish phrases for our little outing
Vamos a salir fuera.
We are going to go outside.
'Vamos a' means 'we are going to'.
Voy a buscar tu abrigo.
I am going to get your coat.
'Voy a' means 'I am going to'.
Te voy a poner el gorro.
I am going to put on your hat.
'Te' refers to the baby being the recipient of the action.
Vamos a llevar el cochecito.
We are going to take the pram.
'Cochecito' is the diminutive of 'coche' (car).
Vamos a visitar a la abuela.
We are going to visit Grandma.
The 'a' before 'la abuela' is the 'personal a' used for people.
Vamos a ver unos patos.
We are going to see some ducks.
'Unos' means 'some'.
Vamos a ir a casa pronto.
We are going to go home soon.
'Pronto' is the adverb for 'soon'.
Te voy a dar un abrazo.
I am going to give you a cuddle.
'Abrazo' literally means 'hug'.

The Immediate Future (Ir a + Infinitive)
To talk about what you are about to do, use the present tense of 'ir' (to go) + the word 'a' + the base form of the next verb.
