Spanish phrases for weather from the pram
Hace sol hoy.
It is sunny today.
Literally 'It makes sun today'. 'Hace' is very common for weather.
Está nublado hoy.
It is cloudy today.
'Está' is used here because being cloudy is a temporary state.
Hace viento afuera.
It is windy outside.
'Viento' means wind. 'Afuera' means outside.
Está lluvioso hoy.
It is rainy today.
'Lluvioso' is the adjective for rainy.
Está nevado afuera.
It is snowy outside.
