Little Things People Tell Us in German
Practise passing on everyday things other people have mentioned about songs, outings and your baby's earlier moments, without presenting them as things you witnessed yourself. Reportative sollen marks information as externally sourced and unverified; with a perfect infinitive, it refers to earlier events. These C1 patterns are especially useful when talking with other caregivers, but you can also use them gently with your baby or toddler, without expecting a spoken reply.
