Gentle phrases for a walk together, using mit (with) and ohne (without) to talk about people and things coming along. Use du when speaking to one child.

German phrases for together on our walk
Ich gehe mit dir spazieren.
I'm going for a walk with you.
Spazieren gehen means โto go for a walk.โ After mit, du becomes dir.
Papa kommt mit uns.
Dad is coming with us.
Papa is a familiar word for โDad.โ After mit, wir becomes uns.
Wir gehen mit dem Kinderwagen raus.
We're going out with the pram.
Der Kinderwagen becomes dem Kinderwagen after mit. Raus is an everyday word for โoutโ or โoutside.โ
Du kuschelst mit dem Teddy.
You are cuddling with the teddy.
Mit jemandem kuscheln means โto cuddle with someone.โ Der Teddy becomes dem Teddy after mit.
Wir gehen nicht ohne die Decke los.
We're not leaving without the blanket.
Losgehen means โto set off.โ Die Decke stays die Decke in the accusative after ohne.
Wir gehen nicht ohne den Sonnenhut raus.
We're not going out without the sun hat.
Der Sonnenhut becomes den Sonnenhut after ohne.
Ich gehe nicht ohne dich.
I'm not going without you.
After ohne, du becomes dich. Compare mit dir: โwith you.โ
Dein Teddy ist hier; wir gehen nicht ohne ihn los.
Your teddy is here; we won't leave without him.
Teddy is grammatically masculine. Use ihn for โhimโ after ohne. The present tense can express a firm plan about what happens next.

In a simple statement, los separates and goes at the end: Wir gehen los.
Mit always takes the dative
Mit means โwith.โ The noun or pronoun after it must be in the dative, even when the sentence describes movement.

Ohne always takes the accusative
Ohne means โwithout.โ It always takes the accusative. Of the definite articles, only masculine der changes: it becomes den.

Personal pronouns after mit and ohne
Choose the pronoun form required by the preposition. Some forms differ, such as dir and dich; others stay the same, such as uns.

Use uns after mit for โus,โ and ihn after ohne to refer to the teddy.
