Spanish phrases for everything within reach

  • Tu peluche está en la cuna.

    Your teddy is in the cot.

    'En' covers both 'in' and 'on' in many contexts.

  • Tu biberón está en el bolso.

    Your bottle is in the bag.

    'El bolso' is the bag; 'el biberón' is the baby bottle.

  • Tu mantita está en el sofá.

    Your blanket is on the sofa.

    'Mantita' is the diminutive form of 'manta' (blanket), making it child-friendly.

  • Estás tumbado en el cambiador.

    You are lying on the changing mat.

    'Tumbado' means lying down.
