Spanish phrases for something just for you

  • Este babero limpio es para el bebé.

    This clean bib is for the baby.

    'Babero' is bib, and 'limpio' is clean.

  • Esta mantita es para el osito.

    This little blanket is for the teddy.

    'Mantita' is the diminutive form of 'manta' (blanket), making it child-friendly.

  • Esta taza de té es para mamá.

    This cup of tea is for Mum.

    Note the accent on 'mamá'.

  • Este sándwich es para papá.

    This sandwich is for Dad.

    Spanish often borrows the word 'sándwich' for sliced bread sandwiches.

  • La toalla caliente es para ti.

    The warm towel is for you.

    When following a preposition like 'para', 'tú' changes to 'ti'.

  • Este vaso de agua es para mí.

    This glass of water is for me.

    When following 'para', 'yo' changes to 'mí' (with an accent).
