    This book is for your brother.

    Für takes the accusative. Masculine dein Bruder becomes deinen Bruder.

  • Wollen wir eine Karte für den Lehrer kaufen?

    Shall we buy a card for the teacher?

    Wollen wir …? is a natural way to suggest doing something together. For a female teacher, use für die Lehrerin.

  • Diese Bleistifte sind für die Kinder.

    These pencils are for the children.

    The plural article die stays die in the accusative.

  • Wir machen ein Plakat für den Verein.

    We are making a poster for the club.

    Der Verein becomes den Verein after für. German uses the present tense for actions happening now.

  • Ich habe eine kleine Überraschung für dich.

    I have a little surprise for you.

    Use dich after für when speaking informally to one person, such as your child.

  • Ist dieses Armband für sie?

    Is this bracelet for her?

    Für sie means 'for her' here. It can also mean 'for them' in another context.

  • Du kannst einen Comic für ihn aussuchen.

    You can choose a comic for him.

    Für ihn means 'for him'. After kannst, the infinitive aussuchen goes at the end.

  • Dein Freund hat Kekse für uns gebacken.

    Your friend has made biscuits for us.

    Gebacken means 'baked', a natural choice for making biscuits. For a female friend, use deine Freundin.

Für means 'for' and can introduce the person or group receiving something. The word after für must be in the accusative, even when the sentence uses ist or sind.
