Inside a noun phrase
Wenn auch can link two descriptions of the same noun. The second adjective keeps the ending required by that noun phrase. Place a comma before wenn auch; in these integrated phrases, do not put another comma between the second adjective and the noun.

Elliptical wenn auch versus full obwohl
Both patterns express concession. The elliptical wenn auch phrase gives a compact qualification with no finite verb. A full obwohl clause explicitly includes a subject and a finite verb at the end. Use the compact version when the reference is clear; a full clause is clearer when you need to name a different subject.
