German phrases for until we meet

Warte is the informal command for one child. Am Schultor means 'at the school gate'.

Der Papa von deinem Freund is a natural, child-friendly way to say 'your friend's dad'.

  • Ich sitze neben dir, bis deine Hausaufgaben fertig sind.

I will sit beside you until your homework is finished.

Hausaufgaben is plural in German, so use sind. Neben dir means 'beside you'.

Behalte means 'keep'. Etwas Schönes means 'something nice'; Schönes has a capital letter.
